La Quintana - “ The Joust of the Quintana”

On the first Sunday of August, a horse tournament, which is part of the medieval heritage passed over centuries, takes shape in the city centre, with more than thousand people participating as actors, wearing historic dresses from fourteenth century and becoming the frame of a contest between knights, each of one is armed with spear and representing a different neighbourhood of the City.
