The Seacoast

About 25 kilometres far from Ascoli Piceno, you will reach the Adriatic Coast, where you can visit                   "San Benedetto del Tronto", an important centre for tourism and fishing, also known as "Riviera delle Palme" given the stretch of palms decorating the coast, offers a 7 kilometres of beach made of the finest white sand. (www.comune.san-benedetto-del-tronto.ap.it)

It 's very famous the "Fish soup" of San Benedetto del Tronto cooked with thirteen varieties of fish from the Adriatic Coast, peppers, tomatoes and vinegar.

Along the coast you could also reach "Grottammare", a beautiful little town full of fascinating buildings of the XVIII century. In the old town, which is offering a spectacular view onto the sea shore, you can admire two very interesting buildings: the “Torre dell’Orologio” (literally “the Clock Tower”) and the “Teatro dell’Arancio”, which is the town’s most important theatre.

Finally, "Cupra Marittima" where will be amazing the visit at the near “Malacology Museum” dedicated to the “soft” marine inhabitants, like molluscs and shellfish, including the so called “trilobites”, dating back 500 million years ago.(www.malacologia.org)
